It’s time to gear up, because lacrosse season is back, and the Calgary Roughnecks are ready to bring the action to the Scotiabank Saddledome! The 2024 season kicks off with the home opener on Thursday, December 28th, at 7:00 PM. Trust us, you won’t want to miss this!
We had the unique opportunity to "train" and learn from the team, and it was an experience to remember. Watching the players’ speed, skill, and teamwork up close gave us a whole new appreciation for the game. It’s no wonder lacrosse is known as "the fastest game on two feet!" We can’t wait to cheer on the Roughnecks as they hit the field.

The Roughnecks are a Canadian professional box lacrosse team that calls Calgary home. With a name inspired by Alberta’s hardworking roughnecks in the oil and gas industry, the team is a perfect symbol of our city’s grit and determination. They’ve claimed the prestigious NLL Cup three times, with the most recent win in 2019 in an epic overtime victory against the Buffalo Bandits.
