Here are SIX FREE events your kids will love! Take advantage of this opportunity to connect as a family while exploring fascinating museums, diving into hands-on creative activities, and sparking your child’s imagination with fun and educational experiences. There's something exciting for every young explorer!

Family Day at the Lougheed House


Get ready for a day of fun, with FREE admission at Lougheed House this Family Day February 17th!


Enjoy family-friendly house tours throughout the day, crafting, and opportunities to explore the new exhibit,



The Return of Restore & Revive. Celebrating 20 years as a museum, The Return of Restore & Revive explores the people and practices behind the restoration of the house in the 1990s and early 2000s that led to the museum’s opening in 2005.


 

Crayola Create It Yourself Hedgehog Valentine Staples


Quill you be mine? On Febraury 5th you'll be seeing hearts with this cute hedgehog valentine craft for kids!


In this session, kids will:

  • Make and Take their own hedgehog valentine craft.

  • Be as creative as you can for fun with your friends or family!

  • Using Crayola construction paper, glitter glue and your imagination create a loving Valentine Hedgehog.

All supplies will be provided. 

Ages 4+



 

Kids Studio Special Edition: Ponyo’s Metamorphosis

Join exhibiting artist Thuy-Han Nguyen-Chi for a program inspired by Japanese fantasy animation followed by an art-making activity.


Nguyen-Chi's film Into The Violet Belly deals with the movement from land to sea, inspired by the evolution of whales; whereas the film, a tale about a goldfish, deals with the movement from sea to land – both films explore the relationship between the human and more-than-human, between children and parents.


Kids Studio is a series of hands-on workshops for children where they independently explore creativity through process-based art making, movement and play.


Registration and parent/guardian consent are essentialRecommended for ages 6 – 12. Parents/guardians are not required to be present for the duration of the program, however if your child requires assistance with the following skills, we ask that a parent/guardian accompanies them: drawingwatercolor and brushwork.


 

Come celebrate love and creativity by participating in our RONA Kiddos Workshop at your local store on February 1st.


The workshop will guide you through assembling and decorating a festive Valentine's Day Tic-Tac-Toe game, a fun and creative way to enjoy quality family time together.


Date: February 1st, 2025

Time: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Who: Children ages 5 to 12


All materials will be provided, and our associates will be there to guide your children in their creations.


It’s free! Snacks will be provided. Space is limited. First come, first served.

 

Family Day at Studio Bell


Celebrate Family Day February 17th at Studio Bell with a jam-packed day of musical fun for all ages! Admission is FREE. Explore five floors of interactive activities and enjoy live performances, including a headlining set from a local favourite — soon to be revealed!


 

Active Toddlers at the Genesis Centre: Get active with your little ones!


Bring your children, age 5 and younger, to the Genesis Centre and enjoy FREE drop-in play.


There will be access to lots of toys and a bouncy house; kids can learn balance and fine motor skills, all while having fun.


Every Monday-Thursday in February.
